domi_2Finding the right counselor is an important first-step toward healing. I believe it’s crucial that prospective clients weigh their options when deciding on a therapist. I encourage you to call me with any questions so that you can feel confident that I can provide the right fit for your needs.

My goal is to collaborate closely with you, to offer respect and expertise and to guide you through the challenging process of improving your life, attaining life goals, or helping your child to thrive.

I have over twenty-five years’ experience working with individuals, couples, children and their families. I work with many different issues including anxiety, depression, children’s behavioral and school-related problems, parenting concerns, issues of attention, coping with divorce and blended families, and marital difficulties.

I received my M.A. in clinical psychology from J.F.K. University in California in 1989. I started my clinical career in Oakland, California working as an early intervention therapist with at-risk mothers and couples. While in California, I also created and directed a therapeutic nursery program in conjunction with Children’s Hospital, Oakland.

On moving to Denver, I continued to work in a variety of educational and therapeutic settings that included adjunct instructor at the University of Colorado, trainer for Early Head Start and coordinator of the Clayton Foundation’s early intervention program.

Today, I work exclusively in private practice specializing in family, couple, individual, and child and adolescent issues. I also have nearly ten years experience in the area of family integration therapy. In addition, I have completed the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction training with well-known author Jon Kabat-Zinn, Ph.D. This training provides therapeutic tools to assist clients dealing with traumatic life changes, ongoing environmental stresses and chronic pain.

Please feel free to call me to discuss your concerns.
